Following meticulous processes adhering to ISO ​14064-3:2019, ISO 14065:2020, and ISO/IEC ​17029:2019 standards, we guide clients through ​every step, from initial agreement to closeout, with a ​robust framework including strategic analysis, ​evidence-gathering, and independent peer review.

GSustain’ s validation and verification process follow the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14064-​3:2019, ISO 14065:2020, and ISO/ IEC 17029:2019 standards. GSustain’ s validation/ verification process includes:


  • Establishing an agreement that meets client’s objectives and conforms to ISO standards.
  • Identifying an impartial and competent team and independent peer reviewer.
  • Conducting a project initiation meeting to introduce to team, confirm milestone dates, confirm project/ inventory ​details, and request data /information.
  • Performing strategic analysis of the project and developing a risk assessment
  • Developing a comprehensive verification plan and evidence- gathering plan
  • Executing and documenting evidence-gathering activities, including site visits as required
  • Providing an opinion on the assertion
  • Conducting an independent peer review of evidence gathered
  • Preparing a validation/verification report and statement, as required
  • Obtain Client’s feedback
  • GSustain ensures “The client/responsible party shall not use the environmental information statement, opinion, ​report, marks, logos or labels in a manner that could mislead intended users or affect the reputation of the body. ​Also, shall require the client to ensure that any opinions or reports of factual findings made public by the client ​are communicated in their entirety”.

Complaints and Appeal Process:


Appeal will be considered under the following circumstances:

  • The client or responsible party fundamentally disagrees with the validation or verification plan, conclusion, procedures, or methods that have been conducted by the team.
  • The appellant believes that accepted auditing principles (e.g., impartiality, conservativeness, confidentiality) have been violated, such that the validation or verification process has been compromised.

Complaints will be considered under the following circumstances:

  • Client or responsible party has a concern or procedural disagreement with the validation or verification process that has been conducted by the team. This may include, but not limited to, arbitrary or capricious requirements, inadequate record keeping, or lack of senior oversight.
  • Client or responsible party has any concern or disagreement with the conduct or competence of the team.



An acknowledgment of the appeal or complaint will be communicated to the appellant or complainant in the same manner as was received by GSustain.


Once received, the leader of the validation/verification body will identify whether they were involved in that particular validation or verification project. If not, the leader will investigate the claim by reviewing the documentation available in GSustain’ s project files to see whether there is any substance to the claim.


If the leader deems it warranted, the leader will interview the personnel involved in the validation/verification to collect additional evidence. Within two weeks of the written notice by the appellant/complainant, the leader must decide what actions are to be taken in response.
